Polokwane means “place of safety”.

Previously known as Pietersburg, Polokwane is the capital of South Africa’s Limpopo Province. Rapidly growing from a small town consisting of only 150 stands in 1884, Polokwane now boasts a long history of prosperity and rich agricultural foundations.

The city is well located for both business and leisure purposes. Polokwane is situated right on the N1 highway, connecting Polokwane to Pretoria, Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Cape Town, as well as connecting South Africa to Zimbabwe. The private Gateway International Airport is located a few kilometres to the north of the city, which eases international travel and welcomes tourists to the area.

As a fully equipped destination and the largest metropolitan complex north of Gauteng, Polokwane services the near neighbouring countries of Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Swaziland. As a holiday destination, the city is within convenient distance from the Kruger National Park and Magoebaskloof.

Fine weather, friendly locals and excellent accommodation ensure Polokwane to be the ideal business or getaway destination in the geographic and economic heart of the Limpopo Province.
